Overcoming Range Anxiety with an Electric Scooter

If you’re new to riding electric scooters you may have a bit of range anxiety. Here are some tips to make sure you complete your trip.

  1. Choose the right electric scooter. If you plan to ride long distances you’ll need to get a scooter that can get you to your destination. Don’t pick a small commuter scooter if you plan to ride further than 10 miles.
  2. Plan your route. You need to know how far you’re traveling and what the terrain is like. Hilly terrain will eat into your range.
  3. Give yourself a buffer. If your scooter has a range of 20 miles count on only getting 16 miles out of it. That 20% buffer will make sure you arrive.
  4. Start fully charged. A fully charged scooter has the most range (duh) so that gives you the best chance of making sure you arrive without having to take a long pit stop to charge.

I hope these tips helped you out. If your scooter isn’t up to the task of long rides you might need a new one! Get $50 off any scooter at VoroMotors.com when you use the code ADKELECTRIC.

Remember when riding to always wear a helmet, be courteous to pedestrians and cyclist, and most importantly: HAVE FUN!
